Chicken:
- 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon oil (avocado or vegetable)
Teriyaki Sauce:
- 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Garnish:
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet, add chicken, and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Make Teriyaki Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Pour over chicken and simmer.
- Thicken Sauce: Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
