Description

Chicken:

  • 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon oil (avocado or vegetable)

Teriyaki Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Garnish:

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet, add chicken, and cook until browned and cooked through.
  2. Make Teriyaki Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Pour over chicken and simmer.
  3. Thicken Sauce: Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
