Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans. Line the bottoms with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Prepare the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream the butter and sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add peanut butter and eggs: Beat in the peanut butter, then add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Alternate adding the flour mixture and buttermilk to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

- Make the frosting: Beat peanut butter and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and cream, then beat in vanilla.
