- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch pieces)
- 1 cup dill pickle juice
For the Coating:
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken in pickle juice, refrigerate, then pat dry.
- Prepare Coating: Whisk egg and milk. Mix flour, sugar, salt, spices, and baking powder.
- Coat Chicken: Dip in egg mixture, then dredge in flour.
- Fry: Heat oil, fry nuggets until golden and cooked through.
- Serve: Drain and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a lighter version, air fry at 400°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through and spraying lightly with oil.
- Pair with honey mustard or a homemade Chick-fil-A-style sauce.
