  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Frosting:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the cake: Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, bananas, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients separately, combine, and pour into pan. Bake for 35–40 minutes.
  3. Make the frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter, add powdered sugar and vanilla. Frost the cooled cake.
