Description

  • Filling:

  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and finely diced

  • Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Dough: In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk and eggs, knead in butter until smooth. Let rise for 1-2 hours.
  2. Filling: Mix apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Roll out dough, brush with melted butter, spread apple mixture, roll into a log, slice lengthwise, twist strands, place in loaf pan.
  3. Cover and let rise for 30-45 minutes. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40-45 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  4. Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar and milk, drizzle over babka before serving.
