  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the Crisp Topping:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Apple Filling: In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Transfer to the baking dish.
  3. Make the Crisp Topping: Combine oats, flour, sugars, salt, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
  4. Bake: Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let cool before serving.
