- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Crisp Topping:
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the Apple Filling: In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Transfer to the baking dish.
- Make the Crisp Topping: Combine oats, flour, sugars, salt, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
- Bake: Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let cool before serving.
