Chicken Marinade:
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon sriracha or chili paste (optional)

Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, and sriracha if using.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight for best flavor.
- Grill the Chicken: Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates. Remove chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Rest and Serve: Transfer the grilled chicken to a plate and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and extra green onions before serving.
