Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Baked Apple Fritters that are perfect for breakfast or dessert. These fritters are filled with diced apples and warm spices, then topped with a sweet glaze.

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Add to dry ingredients and stir to combine.
  4. Add Apples: Toss diced apples with lemon juice, then fold into batter. Spoon batter onto baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and cooked through. Let cool.
  6. Prepare Glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over fritters.
