- Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 10 hard taco shells
- Cooking spray or oil
- Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, jalapeños, chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the filling: In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, onion, tomatoes with green chiles, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Prepare the taco shells: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Stand the taco shells upright in the dish and fill each shell with the chicken mixture. Top with cheese.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and shells are crispy.
