Tofu:

  • 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, drained and pressed

Marinade:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the tofu: Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large bowl.
  3. Make the marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, maple syrup, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Pour over tofu cubes and toss to coat.
  4. Add cornstarch: Sprinkle cornstarch over tofu and toss until evenly coated.
