Tofu:
- 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, drained and pressed
Marinade:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the tofu: Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large bowl.
- Make the marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, maple syrup, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Pour over tofu cubes and toss to coat.
- Add cornstarch: Sprinkle cornstarch over tofu and toss until evenly coated.
- Bake: Arrange tofu cubes on baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
