  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

For the Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Dough Preparation: In a bowl, combine warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast. Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Knead until smooth, then let rise for 1 hour.
  2. Filling: Mix walnuts, pistachios, sugar, cinnamon, and cardamom.
  3. Assembly: Divide dough, roll out into circles, layer with filling, stack, cut into strips, twist to form a star shape, and let rise.
  4. Baking: Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Syrup: Simmer honey, water, sugar, and lemon juice. Brush bread with syrup after baking.
