  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2–3 bananas)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Add egg, vanilla, and mashed bananas, and mix well.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Combine wet and dry: Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Add walnuts and/or white chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Bake: Spread batter in the pan and bake for 25–28 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
