  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Noodles: Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté Onion and Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and cook onion until softened. Add garlic and cook briefly. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Prepare Beef Mixture: Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer to blend flavors.
  5. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine noodles, sour cream, and half of cheddar cheese. Add beef mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Bake: Transfer to a baking dish, top with remaining cheddar and mozzarella. Bake until bubbly.
  7. Serve: Let rest before serving. Garnish with parsley.
