  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • cooked white rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: Combine sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Stir-Fry the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, stir-fry marinated beef until browned. Set aside.
  3. Cook Onions: Sauté sliced onion until softened, then add garlic.
  4. Combine and Serve: Return beef to the skillet, toss with onions, then season with black pepper. Garnish with green onions and serve hot over rice.
