Marinated Chicken:
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Stir-Fry:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
- Stir-Fry: Heat vegetable oil and sesame oil in a large skillet or wok. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until browned. Remove chicken and set aside. Stir-fry bell peppers, onion, and garlic until tender-crisp. Return chicken to the pan, add black pepper, sugar, and chicken broth. Cook until sauce thickens.
- Serve: Garnish with green onions and serve hot over rice.

- Adjust black pepper to taste.
- For a thicker sauce, double the broth and use a cornstarch slurry.
