Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and vinegar until smooth. Add black gel food coloring.
