Main Ingredients:
- 14 ounces extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Blackberry Glaze:
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red chili flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Garnish:
- 1 green onion, sliced
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Prepare Tofu: Press tofu, cube it, toss with cornstarch and soy sauce.
- Pan-Fry Tofu: Cook tofu in olive oil until golden and crisp.
- Make Blackberry Glaze: Cook blackberries, maple syrup, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, black pepper, and salt until thickened.
- Combine: Toss tofu in blackberry glaze, cook briefly.
- Garnish & Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, serve hot.
