Seasoning:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Serving:

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Seasoning: In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and coat each side with olive oil. Rub the spice mixture onto both sides of the chicken breasts.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the outside is blackened.
  4. Rest and Serve: Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
