Description

Indulge in the delightful flavors of blueberries and cream cheese with this moist and delicious Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread. Perfect for breakfast or as a sweet snack, this bread is bursting with fruity goodness and rich creaminess.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk

Blueberries:

  • 1 ½ cups fresh or frozen blueberries (tossed with 1 tablespoon flour)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine dry and wet mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  5. Add blueberries: Gently fold in the floured blueberries.
  6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and serve: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw before adding to the batter to prevent bleeding.
  • For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of lemon zest to the batter.
  • This bread freezes well—wrap tightly and store for up to 2 months.
