Description

Cool off with this creamy and refreshing Brazilian Lemonade made with sweetened condensed milk, limes, and a touch of sugar. Perfect for a hot summer day!

Ingredients

Limes:

4 limes (washed and quartered)

Cold Water:

4 cups

Sweetened Condensed Milk:

1/2 cup

Granulated Sugar:

1/3 cup

Ice:

for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the quartered limes, cold water, sugar, and sweetened condensed milk into a blender. Pulse 3–4 times for just a few seconds each time—do not over-blend or the drink will become too bitter from the lime peels.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp and rinds.
  3. Serve immediately over ice.

Notes

  • Brazilian lemonade is best enjoyed fresh, as it can become bitter over time.
  • For a creamier version, add an extra tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk.
  • Despite its name, this recipe is traditionally made with limes, not lemons.
