  • 1 large head of broccoli (about 1 pound, cut into florets)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1 garlic clove (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)

Instructions
