Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare baking sheets: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla and whisk until fully combined.
- Combine the mixtures: Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Chill dough in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes.
- Form and bake cookies: Scoop dough into portions, roll into balls, and place on baking sheets. Bake for 9–11 minutes until set. Cool on a wire rack.
