- 2 cups milk or non-dairy milk

- 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Shaken Espresso:
- 2 shots freshly brewed espresso (about 1/2 cup strongly brewed coffee)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Ice cubes
- 2 tablespoons milk or cream (for shaking)
Optional Toppings:
- Sliced bananas
- Chopped nuts
- A drizzle of extra brown sugar syrup
Instructions
- Cook Oats: In a small saucepan, combine oats, milk, cinnamon, and salt. Simmer until creamy.
- Prepare Espresso: Brew espresso or strong coffee.
- Shaken Espresso: In a jar, combine espresso, maple syrup, ice, and milk. Shake vigorously.
- Assemble: Spoon warm oats into a bowl, pour shaken espresso over the top. Add optional toppings.
Notes
- For overnight oats, prepare the night before and add shaken espresso in the morning.
- Adjust sweetness with more or less maple syrup.
- Non-dairy milk like oat or almond is a great alternative.
