Description

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional:

  • 1/2 cup additional chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup of chocolate chips and butter together. Let cool slightly.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light. Add melted chocolate and mix.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Fold into wet mix.
  5. Add Chocolate Chunks: Stir in additional chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Bake: Scoop batter onto sheets and bake for 8-10 mins until cracked but soft centers.
  7. Cool and Serve: Cool on sheet, then transfer to wire rack.
