Description

These Buffalo Cauliflower Bites are a vegetarian twist on classic buffalo wings, featuring crispy baked cauliflower florets coated in a spicy buffalo sauce. Perfect for game day or as a tasty appetizer!

Ingredients

Scale

Cauliflower Bites:

  • 1 head cauliflower (cut into bite-sized florets)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Buffalo Sauce:

  • 2/3 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Coat cauliflower: Toss cauliflower florets in the batter until well coated.
  4. Bake: Arrange coated florets on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Make buffalo sauce: Combine buffalo sauce and melted butter in a bowl.
  6. Coat cauliflower: Toss baked cauliflower in buffalo sauce mixture.
  7. Bake again: Return cauliflower to the oven and bake for 10–15 minutes until crispy.
  8. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the bites for 2–3 minutes at the end.
  • Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks for a classic appetizer experience.
  • To make gluten-free, use a gluten-free flour blend.
