Description

Indulge in the creamy delight of burrata cheese topped with a sweet and tangy tomato-peach jam, served with a hint of basil on crusty bread or crostini. This appetizer is a perfect balance of flavors for a summer gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

Burrata Cheese:

  • 8 ounces fresh burrata cheese

Tomato-Peach Jam:

  • 2 large ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large ripe peach, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Additional:

  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped tomatoes, chopped peach, granulated sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until the mixture thickens and the fruit breaks down.

  3. Remove from heat and let the jam cool to room temperature.
  4. Place the burrata on a serving plate and spoon the tomato-peach jam over the top.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil.
  6. Serve immediately with crusty bread or crostini.

Notes
