Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust if seasoning is salty)
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until evenly coated. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and opaque.
  3. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and stir to coat. Remove from heat and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve over rice, pasta, grits, or in tacos.
  • You can also add sliced andouille sausage for a heartier dish.
  • Adjust the spice level by using more or less Cajun seasoning.
