- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust if seasoning is salty)
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until evenly coated. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and opaque.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and stir to coat. Remove from heat and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Serve over rice, pasta, grits, or in tacos.
- You can also add sliced andouille sausage for a heartier dish.
- Adjust the spice level by using more or less Cajun seasoning.
