Crisp Rice Cereal:

  • 2 cups

Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips:

  • 1½ cups

Caramel Bits or Soft Caramels:

  • 1 cup (unwrapped)

Heavy Cream:

  • 2 tablespoons

Creamy Peanut Butter:

  • ½ cup

Unsalted Butter:

  • ¼ cup

Vanilla Extract:

  • 1 teaspoon

Salt:

  • pinch

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter, add vanilla and salt, mix in rice cereal, press half into pan, and freeze for 10 minutes.
  2. Layer with Caramel: Melt caramel bits with heavy cream, pour over chilled base, and spread evenly. Cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the Top Layer: Spread remaining chocolate cereal mixture over the caramel layer, press gently, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Serve: Lift from the pan using the parchment, and cut into squares.
