Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips:
- 1½ cups
Caramel Bits or Soft Caramels:
- 1 cup (unwrapped)
Heavy Cream:
- 2 tablespoons
Creamy Peanut Butter:
- ½ cup
Unsalted Butter:
- ¼ cup
Vanilla Extract:
- 1 teaspoon
Salt:

Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter, add vanilla and salt, mix in rice cereal, press half into pan, and freeze for 10 minutes.
- Layer with Caramel: Melt caramel bits with heavy cream, pour over chilled base, and spread evenly. Cool for 5 minutes.
- Add the Top Layer: Spread remaining chocolate cereal mixture over the caramel layer, press gently, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Serve: Lift from the pan using the parchment, and cut into squares.

- Substitute almond butter or sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
