Crispy Rice Layer:
- 3 cups crispy rice cereal
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
Caramel Topping:
- 1 bag (11 ounces) caramels (unwrapped)
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chopped salted peanuts (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crispy Rice Layer: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in the microwave, then stir in crispy rice cereal. Press mixture into the pan.
- Make the Caramel Topping: Melt caramels with heavy cream in the microwave until smooth. Pour over the cereal layer and spread evenly. Add chopped peanuts if desired.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cut into squares and enjoy chilled or at room temperature.
