Description

This Caramelized Salmon recipe is a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors, with a glossy glaze that enhances the natural richness of the fish. Perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

Glaze:

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Garnish:

  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Cook the Salmon: Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper. Sear the salmon in a skillet, then pour the glaze over the fish. Cook until the sauce thickens and the salmon is caramelized.
  3. Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Serve over rice, quinoa, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • You can broil the salmon in the oven for the final 1–2 minutes for extra caramelization.
