Description

This Chai-Spiced Banana Bread is a delightful twist on a classic favorite, infused with warm spices and perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat. The combination of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and nutmeg adds a cozy flavor to the moist banana bread.

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and nutmeg.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Beat in eggs, then add vanilla. Stir in mashed bananas and milk.
  5. Combine and Bake: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, fold in nuts/chocolate. Pour into pan and bake for 55-65 minutes.
  6. Cool and Serve: Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes
