- 2 large eggs (beaten)
Cheese Topping:
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Breadcrumb Mixture:
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs or crushed Ritz crackers
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare coating: In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, mix cheddar cheese with a tablespoon of the breadcrumb mixture.
- Coat chicken: Dip each chicken breast in beaten eggs, then coat evenly in breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly. Place in baking dish.
