These Cheddar Bay Biscuits are a delightful savory treat that’s perfect for any occasion. With a cheesy, garlic-infused flavor and a tender, flaky texture, these biscuits are sure to be a hit with your family and friends. Serve them warm and watch them disappear in no time!

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Wet Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

For Topping:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and beaten egg. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined—do not overmix.
  4. Scoop ¼ cup portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden.
  5. While baking, prepare the topping by mixing melted butter, garlic powder, and chopped parsley.
  6. As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce to the batter.
  • These biscuits are best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven.
