  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • butter or cooking spray for greasing skillet
  • optional: chopped cilantro, sour cream, salsa, or guacamole for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, sauté onion, then add garlic and ground beef. Season with spices, add water, and simmer.
  2. Assemble the Quesadillas: Fill half of each tortilla with cheese and beef mixture. Fold in half.
  3. Cook the Quesadillas: Cook in a skillet until golden and cheese is melted. Slice and serve with toppings.
