- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the beef: In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Combine ingredients: Stir in Rotel, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix in 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
- Assemble: Spread the beef mixture in the baking dish, top with tater tots, and sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let cool before serving.
