Ingredients
Scale
For the Fudge:
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries, drained and patted dry
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or almonds)
- 1/2 cup chopped white chocolate or white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Melt Chocolate: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Flavor: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Gently fold in the chopped cherries, nuts, and white chocolate. Mix just until combined.
- Set the Fudge: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper, cut into squares, and serve.
Notes
- Pat the cherries very dry with paper towels to prevent the fudge from becoming too soft.
- Store fudge in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to one week.
