Description

Chicken Alfredo Monkey Bread is a deliciously cheesy pull-apart bread made with pizza dough, loaded with shredded rotisserie chicken, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and creamy alfredo sauce. Baked in a bundt pan until golden brown, this savory treat is perfect for a shareable appetizer or a comforting main dish that combines Italian flavors with the fun of monkey bread.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough and Seasoning

  • 2 tubes (13.8 ounces each) pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Cheese

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided
  • 2 cups parmesan cheese, grated, divided

Chicken and Sauce

  • 2 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded, divided
  • 1 cup alfredo sauce, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a large bundt pan thoroughly with cooking spray to prevent sticking and set it aside.
  2. Cut and Roll Dough: Cut the pizza dough into ½-inch pieces. Roll each piece into a small ball and place all the dough balls into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Season the Dough Balls: Add olive oil, Italian seasoning, and minced garlic to the bowl with dough balls. Add ½ cup shredded mozzarella and ½ cup grated parmesan cheese. Use your hands to toss and coat all the dough balls evenly with the seasonings and cheeses.
  4. Layer Ingredients in Bundt Pan: Start by adding ½ cup mozzarella cheese and ½ cup parmesan cheese into the bottom of the bundt pan. Then add half of the coated dough balls, 1 cup shredded rotisserie chicken, and half of the alfredo sauce. Repeat by layering another ½ cup mozzarella, ½ cup parmesan, the remaining dough balls, the remaining chicken, and the rest of the alfredo sauce. Finally, top everything with the remaining ½ cup mozzarella cheese and ½ cup parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake the Monkey Bread: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Cool and Serve: Remove the pan from the oven and carefully invert it onto a large serving plate to release the monkey bread. Allow it to cool for about 5 minutes before serving so the cheese can set slightly and it can be pulled apart easily.

Notes

  • Use a well-greased bundt pan to ensure easy release of the monkey bread.
  • Shredded rotisserie chicken can be substituted with cooked shredded chicken breast if preferred.
  • Customize the cheese blend by adding provolone or fontina for extra flavor.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the olive oil mixture.
  • Serve with extra warmed alfredo sauce on the side for dipping.
