Ingredients
Scale
Dough and Seasoning
- 2 tubes (13.8 ounces each) pizza dough
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
Cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided
- 2 cups parmesan cheese, grated, divided
Chicken and Sauce
- 2 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded, divided
- 1 cup alfredo sauce, divided
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a large bundt pan thoroughly with cooking spray to prevent sticking and set it aside.
- Cut and Roll Dough: Cut the pizza dough into ½-inch pieces. Roll each piece into a small ball and place all the dough balls into a large mixing bowl.
- Season the Dough Balls: Add olive oil, Italian seasoning, and minced garlic to the bowl with dough balls. Add ½ cup shredded mozzarella and ½ cup grated parmesan cheese. Use your hands to toss and coat all the dough balls evenly with the seasonings and cheeses.
- Layer Ingredients in Bundt Pan: Start by adding ½ cup mozzarella cheese and ½ cup parmesan cheese into the bottom of the bundt pan. Then add half of the coated dough balls, 1 cup shredded rotisserie chicken, and half of the alfredo sauce. Repeat by layering another ½ cup mozzarella, ½ cup parmesan, the remaining dough balls, the remaining chicken, and the rest of the alfredo sauce. Finally, top everything with the remaining ½ cup mozzarella cheese and ½ cup parmesan cheese.
- Bake the Monkey Bread: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the pan from the oven and carefully invert it onto a large serving plate to release the monkey bread. Allow it to cool for about 5 minutes before serving so the cheese can set slightly and it can be pulled apart easily.
Notes
- Use a well-greased bundt pan to ensure easy release of the monkey bread.
- Shredded rotisserie chicken can be substituted with cooked shredded chicken breast if preferred.
- Customize the cheese blend by adding provolone or fontina for extra flavor.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the olive oil mixture.
- Serve with extra warmed alfredo sauce on the side for dipping.
