Chicken Cheesesteak Skillet Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
- Optional chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the skillet: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken: Add sliced chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté vegetables: In the same skillet, add bell peppers and onion. Sauté until softened and slightly caramelized. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Combine ingredients: Return chicken to the skillet, add Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix well and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
- Add cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the skillet, reduce heat, cover, and let the cheese melt for 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
