For the Casserole:
- 4 cups cooked chicken (shredded or cubed)
- 1 ½ cups diced cooked ham
- 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Topping:
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers (or breadcrumbs)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
For Garnish (optional):
- Fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
- Stir in the cooked chicken, diced ham, and half of the shredded Swiss cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Top with the remaining Swiss cheese.
- In a small bowl, combine the crushed crackers and melted butter, then sprinkle the mixture evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- Rotisserie chicken works great for this recipe.
- You can substitute mozzarella or provolone for Swiss if preferred.
- Serve with a green salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
