For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices deli ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For Coating and Baking:

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • cooking spray or oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Butterfly and pound the chicken breasts, season, spread mustard and mayonnaise, add ham and cheese, roll, secure with toothpicks.
  3. Coat and Bake: Dredge each roll in flour, dip in eggs, coat with breadcrumbs, place on baking sheet, drizzle with butter, bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  4. Rest and Serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
