For the Sauce and Topping:
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Prepare the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Chicken: Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook in olive oil until golden brown and fully cooked. Set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: Melt butter in the skillet, toast breadcrumbs, then add chicken back with marinara sauce. Toss in the cooked pasta.
- Finish and Serve: Top with mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover and cook until cheese melts. Garnish with basil and toasted breadcrumbs.
