Description

This Chili Maple Glazed Salmon recipe is a flavorful and easy way to prepare salmon. The sweet and spicy glaze caramelizes beautifully on the salmon fillets, creating a delicious dish that is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each, skin-on or skinless)

Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Garnish:

  • Chopped green onions or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, chili powder, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare the salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon or brush the glaze evenly over each piece.
  4. Bake the salmon: Bake for 12–15 minutes until the salmon is flaky and cooked through. Optionally, broil for the last 1–2 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  5. Garnish and serve: Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • This glaze also works well on grilled or pan-seared salmon.
  • Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad for a balanced meal.
