- 1 package (11 ounces) soft caramels, unwrapped
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream

- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Prepare the base: Press half of the cookie dough into the pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- Melt the caramel: In a saucepan, melt the caramels with heavy cream until smooth.
- Add caramel and toppings: Pour the melted caramel over the baked crust, sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
- Complete the bars: Crumble the remaining cookie dough over the top and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
