Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden on the edges but soft in the centers.
- Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
