  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Optional:

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas with melted butter. Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add to banana mixture and stir until just combined.
  4. Add Milk and Nuts: Stir in milk for smooth batter. Fold in chopped nuts if desired.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Cool and Serve: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool before slicing.
