For the Streusel Topping:

  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a muffin tin with liners or by greasing.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Combine mixtures: Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill muffin cups: Divide batter evenly among the muffin cups.
  6. Make streusel topping: Combine brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  7. Add topping: Sprinkle streusel over each muffin.
  8. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool: Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
