Description

Indulge in a delicious breakfast with these homemade Cinnamon Waffles topped with a luscious Maple Butter. These waffles are fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and bursting with warm cinnamon flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Waffles:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • â…“ cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Maple Butter:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Waffle Iron: Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Cook Waffles: Lightly grease the waffle iron if needed. Pour batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crisp, about 3–5 minutes per waffle depending on your iron.
  6. Make Maple Butter: Beat the softened butter with maple syrup and a pinch of salt until smooth and fluffy.
  7. Serve: Serve waffles warm with a generous dollop of maple butter.

Notes

  • These waffles freeze well—just toast to reheat.
  • For extra flavor, add a dash of nutmeg or swap half the milk for buttermilk.
  • Maple butter can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to a week.
