- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (if needed for consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking pans.
- Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars, add eggs, vanilla, mashed bananas, sour cream, and milk.
- Mix dry and wet: Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, fold in walnuts, and pour into pan.
- Bake: Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Make frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter, add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
- Frost the cake: Spread frosting over cooled cake and serve.
