Garnish:

Instructions

  1. Toast Rice: In a medium saucepan, heat the butter or oil over medium heat. Add the rinsed rice and sauté for 1–2 minutes until lightly toasted.
  2. Add Ingredients: Pour in water or broth, then stir in the corn, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  3. Simmer: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Rest and Garnish: Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and garnish with green onions or parsley before serving.
