Cotton Candy Frosting:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring
  • Pink and blue food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
  2. Prepare the Cupcake Batter: Mix dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and flavoring. Alternate mixing dry ingredients and milk. Divide batter, color, and fill cupcake liners.
  3. Bake: Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  4. Make the Frosting: Beat butter, add sugar, cream, and flavoring. Color frosting. Pipe onto cupcakes.
  5. Garnish: Top with cotton candy before serving.
